Uncle Bill's was founded with a simple but powerful conviction: recruitment done well is one of the most valuable services a business can access. The wrong hire costs time, money, and morale. The right one changes everything.

Headquartered in Durban's business heart, we've grown from a boutique local agency into a nationally active recruitment partner — without losing what makes us different. We're still the team that picks up the phone, remembers your name, and treats every mandate like it matters.

Today, Uncle Bill's operates across all nine provinces of South Africa, covering 14+ industries from construction and engineering to technology, healthcare, and executive leadership. Founded in Durban
Uncle Bill's opens its doors in KwaZulu-Natal, focusing on permanent placements across logistics, manufacturing, and finance sectors.
2021
APSO Affiliation & BBBEE Certification
Formalised our professional standing with APSO membership and achieved our BBBEE certification — setting the compliance standard early.
2022
National Expansion
Extended our talent networks to Gauteng and the Western Cape, winning our first major national clients and growing the team to 8 consultants.
2023
Executive Search Division Launched
Launched a dedicated executive and specialist search division, placing C-suite and senior management across 6 new industry verticals.
2024 – Now
500+ Placements & All 9 Provinces
Crossed 500 successful placements with active talent pipelines across all nine provinces. Retention rate steady above 94% at 12 months.
